"Stayed over at this property for a ladies retreat. It was a spacious place as described but unfortunately meant that it took forever to heat up and some rooms never got warm. Would avoid in the winter months unless you have a portable heater. The owner did bring us wood for the fire place so used that - very pretty and warm. The place could’ve been better cleaned in our opinion as there was clear evidence of prior occupants (empty alcohol bottles in drawers etc). I think this place would be...

"Accommodations were very basic. No essentials were provided, soap, shampoo, paper towels, tissues, salt, and pepper. It would be a big plus too have a couple more hooks and shelves in the bathroom to be able to place things. Another chair in the main living area would be helpful. Plan to bring everything with you. The gardens were beautiful and very relaxing. Overall worked for us."

"What a fantastic stay. We chose this property as we needed to vacate our home whilst work was being done, but it ended up so much more than just a place to lay our heads. The location, near the main road was ideal, but actually very quiet, as it was set down a hill. Pauline, the owner, couldn't have been more accomodating, finding extra parking for us and sorting out things very quickly. The location was brilliant, especially for our 2 dogs who loved the peaceful walks in the near vacinity"

"Not a terrible place just stuck literally in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure it would suite some, just not us. Met with noise from neighbours thumping against walls and a cat that kept whining to come in. Left 20 minutes after arrival. Informed owners but they didn't seem too concerned we weren't staying and didnt ask why we weren't staying. An OK place, just not for us."

"Communication was lacking with the host due to e-mail issues. I found this part of the process stressful as the reason for the trip was very important personal family reasons. VRBO were not much help and advised if we arrived and couldnt get access, to call them and they would make alternative arrangements. "Absolutely loved this place. We had a one-bedroom with interior balcony that served as an extra sitting room when our son was using the sofa bed. Kitchen well-stocked, beds comfortable, washer/dryer worked well. (There are user manuals online for every appliance.) Staff is lovely and there’s always someone available.
