"The Lodge was very convenient to where we wanted to be. The reception staff was really pleasant and helpful. The room was a pleasant surprise. A good size with ensuite and with a wonderful kingsize bed (which was really comfortable) and a quite stunning view of the cricket ground. We both had a really good night's sleep . "Read mixed reviews before my stay. Found it quite pleasant. Some people may find access outside of bar hours difficult as it’s via the fire escape. Location is good. A short walk to city centre & plenty of places to eat & drink in the immediate vicinity. It’s an old building but room was clean & adequately furnished & decorated. "
