"Overall the inn was nice, sevice was verry good and and staff were very friendly, the only concern was with the room being the bed being quite firm. Breakfast could of been better but was included and had alot of variety. But overall a nice inn."

"Lovely quain pub for meals & drinks hosts & staff were excellent & very helpful. Restaurant & bar had a great choice & reasonably priced. Rooms were small chalet stule adjacent to the pub, comfortable with parking adjacent to the challet making it easy. Will certainly use again if in the area. "

"A well located hotel in quiet location. Ample car parking, some with electric car charging points. Easy to find reception entrance and greeted by a pleasant and efficient member of staff. Every where looked relatively new and clean accommodation was on the first floor accessed by stairs. Rooms were numbered clearly and the Smart key entrance was easy to use. Bedroom was well presented with a large comfy bed, 2 easy chairs and dressing table/desk, tea & coffee set on a tray. The only criticism...

"Typical climbers pub and accomodation. Stone floors fire and decent pub grub. Best pint ofGuinness for a long time. Rooms basic and dogs allowed. Wush we brought hours. Decor is quirky downstairs in pub and even worse in bedroom but the facilities are there. I did not mind it upstairs, lived it downstairs."

"The Red Lion was a lovely for me and my partner, we had an amazing stay. The staff at the pub were lovely, especially Aviva who was so friendly and helpful in the restaurant. I give four stars only because the price was a little unreasonable for the time of year (mid-November) when many local attractions are closed. Otherwise I could not recommend this place enough for a lovely weekend break. "

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. "The cottage was just as described. Perfect for our 2 night stay . Cosy especially with the log fire. Great base for getting out on fab walks ( we did Win Hill and Mam Tor ). Would certainly book again . "
