"Excellent property, so much room and character.Mandy the host looked after us well and just left us to it. Enough kitchen space to make and serve our evening buffet and make breakfast.The turrets where we slept were beautiful and the castle grounds are breathtaking.Red inn pub is 2 minutes walk away and serves very reasonably priced food which is delicious.Would highly recommend this magical castle for a truly unique experience."

"If you are thinking about staying at The Hunting Tower to enjoy the area, view and to visit Chatsworth House with unlimited access then this is for you. We absolutely loved our stay, such a unique building and well taken care of, considering it's age, it was all extremely comfortable. It was easy to collect the key as instructed but on arriving at Chatsworth the lady in the kiosk was not aware of what we should do next or to be able to navigate us to the property which was a little odd, so...

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. "Lovely stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Vicky was always on hand when needed and communication was great - super quick! Loved coming outside to the chickens and seeing the horses when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend/return!"

"We always stay here but avoid the evening dining and bar. Food is not good. Breakfast is worth the money and nice. Shuttle service to and from the airport is efficient and friendly. "
