"Place was just as described, beautiful and spacious! Absolutely loved the porch!! Was close to Raystown Lake and Trough Creek State Park. Lots of activities there. Had a wonderful weekend!"

"We stayed here while waiting to move into a new house. The house was clean and had plenty of room for my family of 6. The house was set back a bit from amenities,however this made it very peaceful. The host was very accommodating allowing other family to visit us. The host was also quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. This house will be a place we will continue to stay when visiting family."

"Myself & my family stayed @ Whippoorwill @ the end of Dec. The property & location were phenomenal! Loved the seclusion! Saw very few cars! We had a wonderful time. The owners were gracious & allowed us an early check in @ late check out which we greatly appt appreciated. "

"Tucked away up the side of a mountain overlooking foggy morning treelines. The hot tub was our favorite part, and the kitchen was lovely. It would be an awesome stay in late spring or early summer when we might have spent more time making use of the massive and beautiful deck."

"My family (husband, me and two adult sons) & German Shepherd stayed here over Thanksgiving. Great location, lane is a bit washed out, but driveway to the house was great. Cottage was cozy and well stocked. Great appliances, great stock of pans, cookware, utensils. Very nice layout - the upstairs with two beds and the downstairs with one. Well stocked with linens, blankets and paper products. Great to not have to pack all of this! As many reviews have said - the place was immaculate and...

"We needed a place to stay for a PSU event that was convenient to campus and affordable. Also, I was glad to NOT be in State College on a playoff weekend. This place was perfect for us: Absolutely immaculate, cozy warm, incredible host, and had everything we needed for a restful weekend. This would have been a great place to come to when our kids were younger, to let them toddle about outdoors, with plenty of room to spread out indoors. "Located a few miles from our family cabin, I'm so thankful I found the Oar House for the weekends when a LOT of family is up at the cabin! It was a great place for my kids and I to stay. I had trouble with the keypad, but the owner was able to unlock the door remotely, and then I used the key for the front door the rest of the time. The beds were comfortable and that shower head was AMAZING! I will be checking for availability here in the future when we need an overflow place to stay when...

"Quiet location in a quaint little town. Enough parking for 4 vehicles and fifth extra spot. The patio is great! Beds were comfy! Plenty of hot water all around. Would visit again!"

"This property is absolutely fantastic! Location is perfect: far enough away for quiet and privacy but just a few minutes drive into town.
