"The room we stayed in had a weird smell to it no matter how long we left the window open. It was kind of like stale potato chips. The location was good, but the walls were super thin, so in the morning, we could hear everything everyone in the other room was saying. "Loved my stay (in the female only dormitory) - the bedroom, shower rooms and toilets were soo clean, very impressive. Did not use the kitchen much, but was not able to find green teas or coffee - maybe I just did not know where to look. Met friendly fellow travellers . Front desk host helped me with my luggage (rooms are upstairs) This place is great, quiet, and located near Hida No Sato - BUT rather far from downtown Takayama. I missed the bus from and to the station… and had to lug my ever...
