" Wry friendly helpful. Our refrigerator wasn’tworking and they replaced it within the hour. Now on second night the smoke detector went off at 6am. We had to remove it. We called front desk and given mis information on when it would get fixed. After second call they recalled maintenance my husband then took the alarm downstairs to front desk. They apologized and gave a a discount. We were told he needed to go buy a new one. We checked out Thursday morning and still not replaced. We informed the front desk again made aware safety issue. They were very concerned and apologized. We would stay there again "

"I didn't like that I had to pay $15 for parking & I GOT to THE property about 1 : 30p from out of Town & I WAS TOLD THAT I would have to pay $35 FOR an early checked or wait until 4pm AT the regular checked TIME. It's bad enough that OUR stay is not a full 24 hours.4pm - 11am Other than that ; Everything else was pretty good !!"

"Right on the coast, has reciprocal pool access at another hotel (need a car to access it, though, not walkable). Rooms were well-appointed, lots of dining options, next to the downtown area, great value."

"Loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly. Housekeeping was always checking on us even though we didn’t need anything. It is in the perfect location. It is directly next to ihop and rain forest cafe. The pool was our favorite part as well. Can’t beat a swim up bar! "

"Front desk staff were very friendly and responsive. Breakfast was hot and many options. Easy access to the beach. Rooms were clean. Special call out to Amanda at the front desk who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided us excellent customer service. We’ll definitely return!"

Galveston is such a unique place to visit and if you are interested in being on the strand side (as opposed to beach side) and you like luxury, then this hotel is your place. Ryan was particularly accommodating towards my family. We appreciate our time at The Tremont very much. "
