"Very traditional Japanese hotel. Enjoyed the experience but as an American, I didn’t think the food was very good and I typically love Japanese food. There was an excessive use of gelatin coating on many of the dishes. Also, 2.25 hours for dinner was too long. We waited 15 mins after finishing each course to get the next one. "

"This was my favorite stay out of all of my accomodations in Japan even if I was only there for a day (wish I stayed longer!). Soku-san and his wife are the kindest people ever and offered amazing hospitality. Gao is the cutest dog I've ever seen and I was super happy to get a picture with him at the end of my stay.
