"I would recommend staying somewhere else. Bugs everywhere in the room, especially when it was night. I stayed in room 10 which sits in the sun all day. There are no blackout curtains for all the windows so the room gets very warm. The water from the sink tasted like dirt. But worst of all, The husband that runs the motel is a rude and impatient human being. Stay somewhere else."

"What a lovely place! The view was spectacular and having a nice balcony area to enjoy the sunset with some wine and cheese was the perfect end to the day. Checkin was a breeze - the key is left for you in the office with directions to your room - and the layout of our two-story space was perfect for our situation. "The Sunset Motel is a bit dated, but the room was clean, quiet & comfortable. You check yourself in. The room key & a booklet of clear information about the motel & the area are left on the table. We never met our hosts. The kitchen was basic, but had most of what we needed. No coffee pot, but there was a French press available. Thames is a good sized town, with a grocery store close by. We bought steaks to grill on the bbq. It’s nice sitting on the deck watching the sun go down. Lots of birds...
