"Spacious and convenient, although tricky to find. Reasonably easy access, but picking up the key from what sounded like a residential address, but ,in fact was another motel, was confusing. Why not say Angelsea Motel! "

"We only stayed for one night at Waitomo Lodge but quite enjoyed it. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Check in and out was straightforward. After reading previous reviews we put our headphones on before going to sleep and didn't hear any trains, had a very good night sleep."

"We were very happy with the room. It was clean and tidy and a good size. We were on the ground floor and the guest in the room above were very noisy."

"Hotel itself is older but it is well maintained and cared for. The lady that owns/manages the property is very friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit firmer than I like, but that’s a personal preference thing. View of the lake from the deck was spectacular. Rooms were very spacious. Good value for sure. "

"My wife and I along with our 5 year old grandson stayed there for two nights. Excellent location with direct access from the room to the lake path. We had a water leak in the bathroom on our second day, which the owner sorted out quickly. The owner gave our grandson a goodie bag and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Some parts of the property are in need of renovation, but the new owners are busily working through the renovations. Great location and friendly owners and staff."
