"The property was perfect for spending time outside. The pool is huge and the outside covered deck was our favorite spot for meals and playing games at night . We brought our boat and the dock was well maintained and covered and about a 20 minute boat ride to a public dock. We stored our boat trailer at a storage place about 12 minutes from the house. It is on the less touristy side of the lake so it is not crowded at all. You have to drive about a half hour to get to shopping and restaurants but...

"We had the best time at this vacation rental. There aren’t enough words to describe how lovely this house is, the decor is gorgeous! Everything is top notch. We had absolutely everything we needed, you don’t have to bring a thing! The pool and pool house set it apart from all other lake houses. Not a steep descent to the dock and a short drive to restaurants, stores etc. are just an added plus. The owners were very timely and very sweet in answering all our questions. Highly recommend!!!"

"Our family loved our stay at the Sorrento Villa! The bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, the open floor plan, the view from the back and deck, and the great kitchen provided lots of spaces for conversation, fun, games, etc. Best of All...the house itself is a fascinating "museum"--so many wonderful paintings, antiques, lamps, chandeliers, books, rugs to engage your gaze. The dining room provided a perfect backdrop for our 22-year-old granddaughter...such fun!"

"I took my wife, dog, cat, college-age daughter, and her friend to experience a little real winter weather and hopefully some snow as a respite from our south Florida living. House was great - private, but not overly remote and scary as being out in the country alone can be. Great hiking trails on lot, awesome hills to sled (Mother Nature did not deliver) and easily drivable to awesome hiking experiences in area and Pisgah Forest. Town was An easy 10 minute drive (Lenoir), Blowing Rock was 35...

"This is the second time we and our large family have stayed here, using both the main house and the boat house. Two years ago, it had different owners, and was a great vacation. With the new owners it has become a superb vacation spot! The changes they made are fantastic – they have thought of every detail. The kitchens were extremely well equipped and updated; S'mores kits were provided; welcoming packages on arrival. We also love that they are so dog friendly. This has been our best...
