It's worth paying a little extra for a river view - the rooms facing the other way look onto the backs of old buildings, which isn't unpleasant, but the river view is lovely. "We had a lovely stay, the hotel was very clean, beautifully decorated and peaceful. Lots of space to leave car and easy to jump onto a bus into Cambridge. Our room was clean and spacious. The only minus is that the room was very warm, and got even worse after showering because of poor airflow. "
