"We loved the bed and showers!! Great location for getting to the canal. Not as much shopping in walking distance as I had hoped. I think it’s a up and coming place. It did have steep steps if you’re older. But a bathroom upstairs was a plus! A convince store across the street and a great restaurant around the corner. We had trouble with the door pad but they helped us right away! We enjoyed the patio!! You could hear the other tenants, but I’m sure they could hear us also! Older , fixed up...

"Loved easy access and parking space large bright common area and nice kitchen was great but having to climb on a bench to pull down shades is daunting Our major complaint was the lack of surfaces to set two suitcases and toiletry bags in the bedrooms. Also, they may look nice, but decorative pillows on a bed are unnecessary and create a further space problem. "

"Was a great place to stay for the week as I was working in Duluth. Highly recommend this home and host. It’s a cute 70’s themed space that was roomy and had a good kitchen with all the basic amenities. If you have extra time in the evening I recommend driving to Wisconsin point beach."

"We recently stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it! The property is clean, comfortable, well stocked, and has a beautiful Lake Superior shoreline and scenic views. It is within walking distance to the Aerial Lift Bridge and numerous restaurants and stores. We saw a few massive boats coming and going. "Overall this quiet comfortable Hillside Retreat provided just about all I would ask for in a short term rental. I liked the convenient parking steps away from our door, having one and a half bathrooms. My favorite part about this spot was the private sauna. "We came for a friends 40th and went charter fishing on the Superior. Perfect place for our litlr adventure. Close to everything. Place was cute and quaint. The only negative was the shower water pressure. Otherwise excellent pick and place to stay. We would stay again. "

"We loved our stay at the Carriage House. One can tell that everything was thoughtfully decorated and appointed. The amenities were fabulous and I really appreciated the decaf coffee pods! The kitchen was nicely stocked and ready for cooking. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the towels and sheets felt lovely. Most importantly, the location was perfect - absolutely stunning views and tranquil surroundings. "
