"We had a very nice 2-day stay in a room on the 1st floor. Luckily a member of staff was available to carry our 2 heavy suitcases up the stairs, as we were surprised to find there was no lift. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice of hot and cold food."

"Great facility. Looks exactly like the photos. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The 2 safaris that we went on were exceptionally good. The jeep driver/guide was knowledgeable & explained everything that he was asked & more. Couldn’t fault him. Would definitely recommend "

"We stated at both the luxury apartments in the shopping center, and in one the Rondavels. The luxury apartments were excellent, particularly walkable and with convenient reserved parking (a bit hard to find). The Rondavel was (obviously) a step down (dated), but still convenient and functional. "

"Beautiful lodge on a big lake. Nyala wandering around the tents, noisy birds at night. We could see hippos in the lake and deer the other side. Fun trip to see the meerkats - we had to be patient, but six of the eventually appeared. Nice to see Springbok and Gnus too "

"Very comfortable but the service is terrible. No bathrobes, no slippers, everything takes forever. Housekeeping is the worst. It took an hour to get 2 handtoowels, toilet roll and drinking water, which was not refreshed in the room. The next day our room was not seviced till 7pm, yes 7pm, after many phone calls and chatting with the manager. Breakfast is very good but be patient for coffee, milk etc. Dont waste your money paying extra for Oceanview, we were in room 249 and all we saw was bush...

"People not staying at the property, using the Hotel Pool, using the bathrooms... we paid lots of many to use the dirty facilities, which would have made the stay much better. "

"Beautiful property. We went on an afternoon game drive and a morning horse ride. The horse I rode was a well trained thoroughbred with spirit but restrain. I rode up to zebra, impala and wildebeest. One of the most enjoyable rides I’ve ever been on. There is a wide variety of game on the reserve and we were given an excellent tour by a very knowledgeable guide. "Very nice, but the night before we were to arrive we were told the swimming pool was not functioning. Bearing in mind the one day was in the mid thirties, this was disappointing. Our room had an artisan working all day, on both sides of us. One night I had to ask him to stop hammering on our walls at 8 o' clock at night. The hotel staff and very nice and considerate. management need to up their game."

"This is a great property as it has a range of stay options plus a separate place for day visitors who want to do a game drive. The 'tent' was quite luxurious and game drives informative and exciting. i liked the option to pay what you use and not just an 'all inclusive' which is better value for people who don't eat and drink huge amounts. Fully recommend. "

"We initially felt unsafe here . This was probably not a fair assessment- it was based on how we felt that day . We did leave the hotel to stay somewhere else as I was feeling anxious. We return the next morning abd the staff had been really worried about us . They had explained that security was very high . We were taken about about how much they cared . "This was truly a piece of Heaven for us. Waking up laying in bed seeing the sunrise with those views were such a treat. The home was beautifully decorated and had all of the amenities one would need. The golf course was beautiful and we enjoyed the wildlife while we were there.
