"We returned to the cottage after our first stay last year because it was so lovely and comfortable. This time we also used the cottage next door for our grandchildren, who absolutely loved it. The cottage itself is in a great rural location but nevertheless only 10 mins drive from a supermarket and Freshwater Bay if you need a takeaway or food. It's also just a quarter of a mile from a bus-stop to Newport in one direction and Yarmouth in the other (if you don't have a car) so therefore ideal...

"Small but perfectly formed! A lovely cottage perfect for our stay and visit to Goodwood. Close to the beach and other great places to visit. Probably the best equipped kitchen I have ever come across - super sharp knives were a revelation!! The little touches were much appreciated from the welcome card and chocolate to the milk, bread and other bits left for us to enjoy. Communication with the hosts was great and we would definitely stay again. "

"We had a lovely stay at Shepherds Barn, we went for the Goodwood horse races and because of its location, the property was perfect for us. Everything was really clean and in great condition. "The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay with our children. I had a welcome text to check everything was ok, so nice to know someone was at the end of the phone should we need. Good base location situated on the grounds of The Garlic Farm and the shop, restaurant, cafe and games room all came in handy. Parking was easy too. Short drive from Ryde ferry port and Sandown beach. We also had a lovely meal at the recommended The Pointer Inn pub down the road....

"Belvedere Cottage is a gem of a find. In a quiet area, within close proximity to Ventnor, Steephill Cove and the Niton area. It’s only a couple of minutes walk to a local village post office which offer the essentials. Henry was very accommodating due to our issues with Red Funnel services, there were some lovely essentials already stocked in the kitchen - the bread was lovely! Thoroughly recommended, a beautiful hideaway that can serve as a great base from which to explore the island."
