"I booked a room with a view of Mount Fuji, but the actual view was obstructed by power lines. I was given a room on the second floor, which was disappointing. However, the breakfast was delicious and clean. The hotel itself was clean, and there was also a souvenir shop inside."

"The staff at the Shoji lake hotel were superb, making both of us feel accommodated as soon as arrival. There is limited dining, and I would recommend those coming have a car to access the towns outside of the bus schedule. Aside from this, the baths, solitude from crowds and views of Fuji are outstanding. It's an older hotel, and it does not have an elevator. But they were quick to bring our bags to the room and provide any amenities we needed. Overall a great value getaway from the busier...

"Stayed for 2 nights and it was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Each cabin has its own TV set. The rooms do run a bit hot but it didn’t bother me too much. I love the amenities that the place offers - free tea/coffee vending machine, massage chair, freezer/fridge to store the food. There’s not a lot of restaurants open late around there but there is a 7-11 nearby and I was able to make a nice meal from there. Overall, it is a nice quiet area to stay if you are looking to escape the hustle...

"There are a lot of clutter in the hotel lobby, which makes it feel messy. The hotel looks a bit old, though it is clean. I arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock at night. When I entered the door, I couldn't see the check-in counter. I went to a counter on the right. There was a card showing “ 百名湯認定証 ”, and add water room “加湯室” was behind the counter. I was about to search everywhere I could in the hotel, when suddenly I saw a man at the far end of the left side, so I chased after him and asked...

"It was a very nice hotel and location for the price(right by an Aeon mall and the main Fujinomiya station). The staff was very friendly and even let me keep my luggage with them after i checked out. Very spacious and comfortable room. 10/10, best hotel i stayed at in Japan so far!"
