"We stayed in the studio apartment with a sea view. The room was a great size, with separate armchairs and table.The coffee/tea facilities included a fridge, cafetiere sink, plates etc. The bathroom was awesome a beautiful jacuzzi corner bath and separate shower. The view from our balcony looked straight onto the beach, which was popular with swimmers for their early morning 7am sessions."

"Our room was spaciuos and comfortable. The locatiom was excellent, on the doorstop to shops, restaurants, the art deco trust and the sea front. Hiwever it was very stressful checking in. We had not completed this online (i received instructions how only 10 minutes beforehand). There was no help on where to park, which rules are quite confusing. "I didn’t realise that they did your beds and cleaned. The coolest thing I found was they set the fire place up again to be used. It’s the little things that count. Highly recommend and we will be back again. "

"Interesting historic place. Pleasant place to relax and a great base for exploring the Hawke's Bay. Spent 3 nights there, service is good and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the "William Nelson Suite" and we could relax on the verandah or in the grounds with its historic trees."
