"The pub is a lovely Olde World traditional English pub, with lovely food and a real homely atmosphere. I had pictured log fires and sofas, but it is more geared towards eating, with wooden tables and chairs (so my visions of relaxing with a book were sadly unfulfilled!) We visited on a Saturday and sat in the Dog loft for lunch, the small bites were incredibly filling, which kind of ruined our dinner plans! We were still stuffed hours later... Dinner was delicious, compliments to the chef...

Nice room with waterside view (standard room) Comfy bed and compact bathroom with lots of toiletries. Bar and restaurant both excellent with a good range of local beers and food. Nice covered area on the quay for boat and people watching and lots of outside seating for when the weather is more clement. "Lovely location 5 mins stroll into the city and cathedral. Located opposite the River Stour weir and park is locked every night at 5pm so well maintained and quiet. Host at the Millers arms were fab catered to gluten free breakfast each day ( advise on booking in). Lovely location and away from bustle of the city "

"Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choice. Would we return?......yes we would."

"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"Stopped overnight enroute to LeShuttle, very convenient just off the M20, in a village. Room spacious and comfy, with good quality tea/coffee. Enjoyed a tasty meal downstairs in the restaurant. In the room you could hear the people in the restaurant talking, but it was silent after 10pm (and they do provide earplugs if needed). "A very comfortable 3 day stay in this Village Inn with very warm welcome and friendliness throughout - informal but professional. Cleanliness of both room and bathroom excellent with some extras provided in both. Food and menu also excellent. Ideal location to visit Canterbury (Park and Ride close by and very easy) and nearby coast. A lovely stay. "
