"Just perfect for us. Impressive grand staircase and a beautiful display of gorgeous smelling flowers were the first things to hit the senses. We came into contact with 2 members of the reception staff who were so friendly and seemed genuinely interested in us as a family group. We were there with my elderly parents who were equally impressed with the staff helpfulness. The 2 barmen were also pleasant and friendly. We were attracted to the hotel as it was city centre with its own parking. Room was spacious and clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. We’d intended using the pool/gym but we didn’t get around to it as there was so much to do out and about. I can 100% recommend this hotel."

The pool was wonderful on a hot day. Plenty of beds in the morning and a great escape to the air conditioning in the afternoon. Nicest bunch of people made this a great stay. "I booked a room as I was attending a dinner dance evening in the ballroom. Everything from the evening meal through to the breakfast was superb. The food was delicious and piping hot, the cocktails were delightful and breakfast was excellent. The staff were all so friendly, extremely polite and welcoming. It was a pleasure staying there. "

"Great location near the Cathedral and plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Reasonably straightforward to check in, although the lighting at the entrance and in the stairwell could be improved - I needed to use my phone torch. The room was great and had a lot of character with a modern bathroom. One minor suggestion - they should change their brand of shampoo. My hair has never felt so gross and greasy after washing and drying! But it was a convenient and comfortable stay. "
