"Wonderful place with friendly staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, excellent food and a lovely welcome. Greeted with a glass of Prosecco, I was assisted to my room and made to feel very welcome. It was a freezing cold day, but the room was lovely and warm. The bathroom was toasty - so different from other hotels I’ve stayed at recently. Massive, comfy bed! Nespresso machine and fridge in the room as well as a kettle and a range of teas. Waking up to a view of the river on a sunny day, with swans and geese all over the place, was a great way to start the day, and it got better as breakfast was amazing! Lovely welcome, plenty of drinks offered, and the range of choices was superb. I opted for the eggs Benedict - cooked to perfection! I’ve previously had the yogurt and granola with fruit compote as well as the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - all delicious and faultless. For those with a big appetite, you’re not limited to one choice either! I have been here before and will continue to go back! "

"Lovely refurbed room which was mercifully not too warm - the bane of so many hotel rooms. Water provided in the rooms, a nice touch. Food was excellent at lunch and breakfast. James and Nikki were extremely friendly and accommodating, and we genuinely felt looked after. The only slightly strange event was returning at 10.45 after a concert to find the hotel locked up, but a bang on the window sorted it. "

"Lovely clean, warm room, hotel has a a great restaurant and some lovely fireside seating in lounge - we would definitely recommend the Sunday lunch at the restaurant! We experienced a little bit of noise on Saturday night due to the hotel’s proximity to the road and nearby pubs but it was lovely and quiet on the next night. Plenty of car park spaces to rear once you drive under the arch to the left of the property."
