"We had the upper corner room with the king bed. Very comfortable and great pillows. Quite roomy. But the description describes a balcony and the photos show "a balcony" off the living room. Its not a balcony, its a common terrace for everyone on the upper floor with no partitions. In all honesty, the room was fine but Haast has nothing to offer. "This is an old hotel. Staying there, you are going a generation back in time, perhaps reflecting Haast itself. The hotel, however, is very clean. The staff is super friendly. The hotel hosts a restaurant, where locals seem to like to hang out. The food and beer are good, the atmosphere is chilled, and there is a pool table!!Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it! "
