"A lovely stay at Bucknell Station Cottage, just perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children). The kids loved staying in their room together and the wooden train set was a nice touch, going well with looking out the window as the big trains rolled past! Very well located for day trips in and around Shropshire as well as over the nearby border in to lovely Wales. Home made flapjacks greeting us on arrival were very well received! Thanks to Nina,Sam and family, a lovely space for a quiet break away."

"There was very good communication with Sue, the owner, throughout the process. The cottage is exactly as described on the website. It is located in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, which has a fantastic selection of shops and eateries. The cottage was very comfortable for our party of three adults and a dog. It is well equipped and has the benefit of a small courtyard garden, which is a real sun trap. We particularly liked the fact that there were a number of walks from the cottage, so we didn't need...

"A lovely quiet location, with everything you could need equipment wise. A little section in the home pack on how to work hot water etc would help and the tv sadly isn’t a smart tv so no access to prime or Netflix."

"We enjoyed our holiday and the really lovely countryside in this part of Herefordshire. Walks and bike rides were wonderful as well as excellent garden visiting. We were a bit disappointed by the cottage. It was not as clean as we expected and was quite cluttered e.g. large paintings stored behind the bedroom door. The internal paintwork needs refreshing and the garden table and sun shade are quite unappealing. For a four star property at the price paid, the standard should have been higher."

"A spacious, very clean, property will an abundance of household extras which instantly make you feel at home. Heating which CAN be adjusted by the user, log fire should the mood take you. Faultless really, the only down side being the poor state of the roads leading to the property, some potholes are very bad and I’m glad I didn’t have to return after dark. This isn’t anything the property can control but takes the shine off a bit."
