"Wonderful place to stay. No bells or whistles but it’s quite comfortable and felt safe. Host were very kind. If you don’t plan on staying in the hotel while you are there, I suggest save money and stay here."

"I came here in December and stayed for a significant portion of December. The staff here are nice and friendly, the communal area is kept clean and is in good shape. The communal bathrooms are likewise cleaned daily. They also do a Christmas party at the hostel if you're there during Christmas like I was. Walking distance to a JR station as well as the Hibiya line. An hours walk to Tokyo Sky Tree. Overall a very nice experience! Thank you!"

"Very good location that you can walk to MingDong about anywhere. The location is #1. Hotel, don't have too much expectation of the facility. It's an old hotel, if you are looking for a fancy/new/clean one, then move on. If you are looking for a not expensive and very convenient one, then that is it."

"The only good thing about this place is its location near bus stops and in the centre of Dongdaemun. But everything else is pretty bad. The room is tiny with no closets to hang clothes, and if you have suitcases, there's hardly any room to move around. The shower situation is weird because there's just a hose and you have to shower in the same space as the toilet, so everything (including your towels) gets wet. "The price is reasonable and room space is quite big compared to other similar hotel tier. Downside is the provided towel is musty after several uses. The provided towel is available to collect at 2nd floor but it was run out most of the time during my stay so I have to use the musty towel for many days."

"Ocean’s guesthouse was amazing. It’s a short 18mins walk to Hongdae street with lots of stuff to do nearby. The hosts are very kind, and always happy/available to help. The hostels vibe is friendly and social, so I ended up meeting so many cool humans from around the world. Will be back here the next time I’m in Seoul!"

"Nice stay, well located and easy to get around. It was quite noisy, especially at night (drains, other rooms etc). Bathroom is a wet room, not a shower but this wasn’t the end of the world. For the price, worth it! Lots of coffee shops / restaurants etc nearby. "
