"We LOVED this place we only stayed 1 night wish it was more. Check in was quick and easy. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Property is amazing. They did get hit by the recent hurricanes so there was some damage but they are getting it fixed. We didn't feel like we were in a hotel. They offer a social hour m-th of soup and salad and beer and wine I've never had that before it was amazing. Also there was breakfast hot and cold. Also they have transportation for a 5 mile radius.. "The room was very clean and spacious. It had towels, cook ware, laundry detergents and even ground coffee with coffee maker. It was a pleasant stay with all the room amenities. I am very happy with my stay here and would come back. "

"The pictures online do not do this place justice. Tucked between two larger hotels, it’s like an oasis. Our room in particular had a grassy lawn facing the water, was spotless and well appointed. Small beach, pool and sandy area (volleyball court) is adjacent to a dock and boat launch for interesting views. Lots of iguanas and a local rooster completes the ambiance. "

"Room was cleaned and super close to food & shops. Super easy check in and check out.my only complaint was that the firealarm went of about 2 hours before check out and stayed on for about a half while we waited outside for it to stops. "

Wonderful, except rude receptionists last day

"Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building. Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored everyone else when doing so, not even an acknowledgment you were there or a smile. Such a shame a simple thing like this can spoil a fabulous hotel in, what is for us, a once in a lifetime trip. "
