Seems that the new company that took over after the Marriot has lead to a decline in facility maintenance such as hot tub

We like location of the property being away from downtown, the shuttle service was an easy way to get to downtown. Restaurant was good! The only thing we didn't anticipate is that housekeeping was at additional cost. In most cases this is fine but wasn't great 4-day stay with few days spent in the ocean.

It was a disappointing stay. First, they charge you extra for room service. Second, there was only one small bar of soap in the bathroom. No liquid soap, no shampoo, no shower caps, no q-tips, no bottles of water for the guests, nothing. The thermostat did not work. It was either off or freezing. No matter how much I fiddled with the unit. When we checked in , the ceiling fan kept going at full speed and could not be turned off. I had to call front desk to send someone to turn it off. They had to replace the pull string which was not working. All this for a not inexpensive nightly fee plus $25 per night for parking. Oh, the beach mentioned is non-existent. The heated pool and pool bar were nice. The location is quiet and close to the fun parts of town ( not within walking distance.) The bed was very comfortable.

The elevator in building 1 broke during my stay and as an elevator Inspector, the overall operation of the unit is poor at best. The certificate in the elevator showed an expiration of 2022! As I sat at the pool bar a patron had said she had gotten trapped in on of the elevators and 2 different employees stated they hear that all the time. The stairs also have a keycard access that didn’t work so I had to walk to another building to access that elevator to walk all the way across that building and building 1 to get to my room. The elevator’s need an update.
