"Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "

"Really enjoyed our stay. Only negative was that the dinner menu was the same each night. The staff were very friendly and polite. A very dog friendly hotel too - you had the option to have meals in a nice room with your dog - this isn’t the case in some dog friendly hotels. Would stay again."

The ambience & the decor is beautiful but it was the service we received by all of the staff and the food which was the highlight of our trip. "Nice clean comfortable room but no tea spoons so a bit of a challenge to make a cup of tea! We arrived at 8.30pm and they had stopped food. However, they rustled us up a plate of chips :) "

"The hotel staff are very welcoming and lovely at 4:30 check in and also served a beer after the carvery closed. If you can not do stairs, this is not for you. The room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The tub chairs in the room were comfy enough but no coffee table or end table to place the coffee/tea cups on. Overall it was very good value for money. "
