Room 10 was spotless, great breakfast and a nice host as always. Comfortable nights sleep and plenty of rest during my stay and a nice Sunday night stay which was restful "

"This is an old style hotel with huge public spaces and big staircases but the rooms are very comfortably equipped. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee maker, TV with a big bathroom with bath and shower. Although it's in the centre of town next to the bars and nightlife, I had a comfortable quiet night because the building is stone and well insulated. It's 100m from the railway station at the top of the strip which has bars and restaurants - it has it's own bar and restaurant as well. It was also a great price and one of the cheapest in Carlisle. A really good price for a really good hotel."
