"Booked two nights on a whim , we both loved it the room was perfect they even made sure we had same room both nights . Food was fantastic as well great service dog friendly which was so good to see . We ran over into late check out and was late for breakfast the staff wasn't fazed at all 10/10 stay definitely recommend "

"Good welcome, room was lovely and warm and bedding clean and plenty of pillows and spotlessly clean towels. Nice touch of biscuits and chocolate. Great location and good price. Sadly there were signs of mould around the door and bathroom tiling could do with a more intense cleaning of the grout as orange/yellow build up, plus I shared the bathroom with two very large spiders that were well established as had webs in corners. Having said this, I would use the Wellington again as really convenient...

"The Red Lion is ideally situated in Bakewell,although there is no parking at the accommodation,there is plenty nearby. The only negative comment id make about the accommodation is the double bed is very small,other than that the rooms are very clean etc The town is very quiet,and there's not a lot happening on an evening "

"This is a lovely place to stay. Anyone who books will not be disappointed."

"Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. "This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate."

"We had a lovely but brief stay at Buxton. Alex was there to greet us with lots of suggestions for things to do. There are no surprises-the property is listed accurately. The beds are clean and the shower is hot!"

"A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. "This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future."
