"There were 16 of us for a family weekend. The house is fabulous, very comfortable with lots of different spaces. The gardens are lovely and the tennis court was a real hit worth all the family. Communicating with the hosts was was simple. Would recommend."

"Everything was as listedā€¦.the log burner was an added feature which we were happy to use on rainy days. The location was really goidā€¦ Colchester close and historically very interesting. North of the city was Constable countryā€¦ nice walks and interesting info on the artists. South we enjoyed Tiptree museum, and the Salt marshes for walking and photography. Ovreall it was everything we wished for ā€œ"

"Not a terrible place just stuck literally in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure it would suite some, just not us. Met with noise from neighbours thumping against walls and a cat that kept whining to come in. Left 20 minutes after arrival. Informed owners but they didn't seem too concerned we weren't staying and didnt ask why we weren't staying. An OK place, just not for us."

"Communication was lacking with the host due to e-mail issues. I found this part of the process stressful as the reason for the trip was very important personal family reasons. VRBO were not much help and advised if we arrived and couldnt get access, to call them and they would make alternative arrangements. Hard to see how they would have rehomed 4 adults and a dog at such short notice. Finally got the access code from the host 24 hours before the trip. Upon arrival everything was as described...
