The hotel is also dog-friendly. The Windermere cruises depart from outside the hotel, and it is also a short walk across the car park to the Lakeside Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway."

"WOW!!! this is by far one of the best hotel stays i have ever had. the staff were lovely - always wanting to help and answer your questions. we got a boutique room and it was so nicely decorated, with beautiful views of the garden. the hotels grounds are fantastic, and having both the lounge and the restaurant gave you quite a bit of option. the pool was so clean and well maintained, you can tell the staff really pay attention to taking care of this place. absolutely fantastic place, i could not fault anything about it!"
