"We stayed over during winter time (December) to check ou the Hotel for an event in May. The surroundings are gorgeous and you can feel the calm of Alentejo right in. The food is absolutely delicious and staff very friendly and available. A note: majority of the rooms does not have bathroom door, which came a bit as a surprise. The suites do have door but are in need of a little TLC in the bathroom to bring it to a 5* review hotel. Overall a lovely stay and will be able to stay again!"

"The shower gave me a nightmare because it flooded the entire bedroom and bathroom within 15 min shower. I had to do camping in the living room for 2 nights. "

"O hotel é mto bonito e os quartos acolhedores e silenciosos,porém faço apenas o reparo em 2 coisas: exaustor da cozinha tem temporizador e só desliga em horários específicos. Depois também acho inconcebível ter-se que pagar à parte o parque interno. 5€ a diária. Num hotel desta qualidade nao se justifica."

"Beautiful room. 10 euro breakfast was fresh and homemade. Ana was super helpful. Even assisted in getting us a taxi when the language barrier was making it difficult. "

"It is a country house, run by a very nice accommodating family. They go out of their way to please you, and make you feel at home. It is a quite out of the way place, relaxed atmosphere. It was fine for us that were traveling to Lisbon, and needed a rest. I don’t recommend this place if you are looking fir beaches, or mountains. The Alentejo area is hot and dry."

"Fizemos early check in sem problemas. Chegamos mais cedo e já tinham o quarto pronto e deixaram-nos entrar. Perto da praia, muito sossegado. Apanhamos um fim de semana de sol e bom para usufruir do melhor de Tróia. A praia e as caminhadas pela areia que sabem sempre bem em pleno Novembro. Não dou 5 estrelas de overall devido ao pequeno almoço. Não são organizados, a variedade para um hotel de 5 estrelas deixa muito a desejar. "No emergency numbers ie Doctor ,Dentist, Vet, Fire or flood or electricity. No information about shops bars restaurants or places to visit. Very very overlooked and close to neighbours with barking dogs and Crowing early morning Cockerel!!!. Had NO contact with owner apart from 1 Phone call never saw the man . Unable to discuss various problems with A The oven that kept switching itself off and didn’t,t reach temperature! B Front door unable to lock properly!"

"We had a great week in Comporta. The house is new, with lots of room for the whole family. A short walk to the beach, with a few great local restaurants. Francisco was a great host, who gave us suggestions for the area and was available for any problems."

Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel - Preferred Hotels and Resorts

"We were very impressed with the location of this hotel - front row seats to 24-hour ocean waves. There was a glitch with the water/pipes in the wing we were in and we had to move rooms. The staff was apologetic and amazing in their professionalism to find solutions that worked. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Every room has a balcony I think. The seagulls float in the outdoor pool which is kind of nasty but since it’s January we didn’t plan on swimming out there. The location to local eateries is very close too which is a bonus. The tile work on the walls at floor 0 and up to floor 5 is amazing. I recommend this hotel to people. We enjoyed our stay very much. The village is beautiful. The people and staff are nice!"
