5/5 Excellent
"I do not often write reviews, but this hotel was exceptional. At first glance the neighborhood (right behind the main train station in Munich) seemed a little dicey, but it was very safe and also very quiet. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel doesn’t nickel and dime you for things like bottled water and coffee and stowing your luggage after checkout. Checkout time was a convenient 11 am. The location was excellent for downtown touring and Christmas market. There were also bus, subway, train, and tram connections very closeby. Restaurants, a drugstore, and a grocery store were all nearby as well. The beds were comfy; the bathroom was clean, as were hallways, elevator, and lobby. They have the genius idea of giving you a coupon for a drink in their bar in return for skipping room cleaning. I loved that because we could still get fresh towels and morning coffee, received a free drink (made by someone who knew how to mix and serve drinks), and we felt better about not having to ask a hard-working individual to clean up after our vacationing selves on a daily basis.
