"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Priory. The room is so spacious and luxurious. Robin is such a kind, knowledgeable host. He so looked after us. I loved a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. The Old Priory is two minutes walk from Kelso's Main Square. The house has a beautiful back garden "

"Booked 2 Rooms & when we arrived the Host said she wasn't letting out Rooms anymore so we were stuck at 7.30pm with nowhere to stay. Having trouble getting a Refund from you. Definitely wouldn't recommend."

"Robert is a kind, fun and consummate host and we enjoyed a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. Loved the cake and tea when we arrived. We had excellent cooked breakfasts with homemade soda bread on china and silver, crystal and linen. Room had everything we could need for our stay. We even cheekily ordered a last minute celebration cake! Can’t recommend highly enough. Mark and I look forward to our next stay. "

"Great B&B and the room is seperate from the house , lovely room very clean and tidy also lovely bathroom with complimentary toilitries everything you need coffe machine, kettle complimentary tea and coffee also with few extra nice snacks bottle water, bar chocolate, crisps very comfortable bed also had black out blinds perfect the staff all very friendly and extremely helpful. "We had an amazing stay from start to finish. Ian gave us a tour if the castle along with a history. The rooms were cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The owners even gave us a ride to the tram when we were unable to find a taxi. Sue and Ian are a friendly helpful couple. "

"Our team had a very enjoyable stay whilst working nearby. The host was a fountain of knowledge who could not have done more for us. One of the party was injured and our host went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with the additions from the local bakery and butcher, as well as home made jams and marmalade. Thanks again from all at SWS "

"The rooms and decor were all simpathetically refurbished in Georgian style. The beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The en-suite I stayed in had a large bath & double shower, the owners were delightful, knowledgeable about things to do around the area. The breakfast was great, various things to eat, they catered for my niece who is celiac, she was delighted to finally stay somewhere and be made to feel part of the company, not an added extra on a special diet! Lovely hotel with friendly staff, great meal

"Booked this hotel as it was close to family we were visiting on a last minute trip. Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant even though we hadn’t booked and it was no problem at all, there was a small menu and only one vegetarian option but it was really lovely, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time and a great price too. The room itself was very small for a double, any more than 1 night in it would have been a squeeze. The room was also a bit dated and in need of repair but clean enough and the bed was very comfortable, next time we will try and book a larger room so we have space for our bags. Breakfast was included which was a bonus, nothing fancy but it filled a hole, cereals or a full Scottish on offer. We will be back soon I am sure! "

Excellent location for Kelso town and races.

"We were able to park up at 11am so we could go to the races very helpful with directions etc. Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens that we could see from our first floor windows. No lifts which now as we are getting older need to start checking out before booking. No the hotels fault but just a fact of life. Excellent breakfast."
