"The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful but it was on the same level and overlooked the beer garden, so I think that this could be a problem in the summer. It also had an interconnecting door, which meant I could hear my noisy neighbours very clearly!"

"Having had a 3 hour drive down, we were greeted with a smile and two delightful rooms. Crisp linen and a smile. Food was fabulous (try the scotch eggs). Beer was good and the conversation was great. Will come back when visiting family. Fully booked for Sunday lunch so make sure you book if coming to stay. Judging by the 3 courses we had well worth booking"

"Stayed for one night due to my wife having surgery at the nearest Hospital Kingston. Absolutely amazing service, changed our room to a ground floor which was easily accessible and large for my wife whom is using crutches, couldn’t do enough for us, made a stressful evening into a lovely comfortable one for us both. Highly recommend them 👍"

"Visited with my partner and elderly mother. Wasn’t sure what to expect but impressed. Very clean, looks recently decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do more to help. Special shout out to the young lad that checked us in and served us at the bar as well as the gentleman who help my mum up the stairs. Pretty sure he worked there! Only criticisms would be the need for a hand rail on the stairs as they’re are quite steep and being able to adjust the...

"We stayed in a trouble room in the attic. The check in was prompt and a member of bar staff showed us to the room. Is was nice and clean with its own showroom and toilet. Despite a loud party in the pub, there was no noise in the room. Breakfast in the morning was hearty although they maybe could invest in more superior ingredients. We’d definitely stay here again when in the area. "

"I arrived a few hours early, but my room was available immediately. A lovely room with modern bathroom. I was in the single, which served my needs very well. Well heated. No problem with noise. Very close to train station. Godalming is a beautiful town."
