"This hotel must have the absolute best view of the Sphinx and Pyramids in the area. Fabulous! The hotel itself is rather dated but had a homely feel and felt authentic. Rooms were of a good size and comfortable and clean and it was nice that a fridge was also provided in the rooms. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure all your needs were met. "The hotel is located on the 13th floor of an apartment. Staff greeted us downstairs upon arrival. The staff were very friendly. We had a welcome drink upon arrival and free bottles of water in the room. The room decor was lovely and nice comfy beds. The view from the terrace was fantastic. "Doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the lower levels/elevator are somewhat sketchy, but the rooms themselves, and the rooftop patio were very nice. Good location, walking distance from the pyramids, and a good view of them from the rooms with balconies as well as from the roof. Food and beers were overpriced, and do NOT use them to book a cab… a taxi from the airport cost less than $20, but the hotel wanted $130 for the return trip! All in all, I would stay again."

"I'm so glad I booked this hotel. From the minute I checked-in I felt at home. The owner and all the staff members made me feel utterly at home. I had an unfortunate accident whilst walking the streets of Cairo where wet concrete fell on me. When I got back to the hotel the owner offered straight away to wash my clothes, he didn't even charge me. The hospitality is something else here! highly recommend, such nice people! "

"The hosts were amazing and friendly. Language was a bit of a barrier but the staff had good grasp of English to have engaging conversations. They were also very accomodating to our needs as well. The rooftop view of the Pyramids is one of the highlights. And the Pyramids are a walking distance too from the lodge if you are into that kind of thing. Otherwise you can get one of the horse drawn carriages Pharaoh style to get there. All in all, solid 5 stars"
