"The property for our needs was a little too isolated, a car is a necessity and you need to Make sure you have all groceries etc with you to avoid the dive down the very steep mountain . The accommodation is very rustic and unfortunately extremely hot making sleeping very uncomfortable, no fans or air conditioning. "Lovely stay, came by train, without a car which we thought might be a bit of a gamble, but worked perfectly. Marco and Claudio were great and helpful at all times. Train service to lucca and pisa was great shops in the town all we needed. Lazy days by the pool and some trips out. Nicely rested! "

"The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. The owners welcomed us with traditional food and wine, which was very unexpected but very welcome when we arrived in the late afternoon. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "

We stayed for almost 2 weeks, apartment is as described but doesn’t show the lovely gardens full of fruit trees and the impeccable condition of the pool, ideal for hot summer days to cool off.
