"This was a really fabulous week in Caltavuturo. Susanne has a created a welcoming and beautifully styled home and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. There are many hidden places around the property to relax, whether it’s by the pool, on the terrace on the long outdoor sofa or upstairs on the terrace outside the main apartment. The kitchen is really well stocked with appliances. There are two fridges so plenty of storage space. The Weber grill was perfectly clean and easy to use....

The villa has great outdoor space including seating, sunbeds, barbecue and a private pool (well kept by Salvatore) - short walk to beaches for swimming and snorkelling (we preferred the public beach 5 mins walk away but there is a private beach too for just a few villas). "Séjour décevant dans cet appartement qui paraissait splendide sur les photos. Accueil expéditif, équipement pauvre, appartement sale, impossible de prendre une douche chaude de plus de 5 mns, aucun code wifi, lit supplémentaire qui n’est rien d’autre qu’une chauffeuse. Bref, pas grand chose à garder mis à part l’emplacement et la vue de la terrasse, splendide."

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Alvise’s country cottage! He was incredibly friendly and helpful as a host. The location has a beautiful view and lots of privacy, which was more than worth the price. We were able to get some much needed rest and visit the surrounding sites, such as Cefalù, with ease. We would definitely return given the chance."

"The house: 5* Attractive house, three exceptionally clean bathrooms and good, hot, strong showers. Well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave coffee machine, freezer). All the bedrooms had working aircon. Outdoor space with a huge dining table, in addition to lounge chairs and table tennis table (all equipment provided). Salvatore and his parents prepare the property beautifully - welcome pack of food and water, wine in fridge. Anti-mosquito plug-ins provided throughout house....

"Amazing spot just outside the bustle of Cefalú. Very picturesque and very kind host. Be aware the kitchen is up 2 flights of stairs ( if you are traveling with an elder, as I was). We were also told upon arrival that we only rented 2 of the 4 bedrooms in the listing, which was confusing. We only needed 2 so it was ok, but there was no discount in price. We unfortunately left a day early due to all the stairs. Other than that a very sweet spot I would highly recommend."

"Beautiful spot to enjoy the views over the water. Sunsets are amazing and the pool area is to die for. Loved the outdoor kitchen and layout of the house. Comfortable stay will all needed amenities. Communication with owners was seamless and they provide a lot of information to assist your stay."

Leider war auch der Gasherd erst nach der Reparatur zu benutzen und die Klimaanlage ebenfalls erst nach 2/3 des Urlaubs. Das hätte vorher geprüft werden müssen, bevor die Gäste kommen. "Lovely cottage in a great location. The property in accessed via stairs and a short walk at the back. Close enough to the beautiful old town, shops, bars and a beautiful but busy beach so get up early for a swim."

"Perfekte Lage, 2 min zu Fuß zum Strand mit Restaurants und Bars. Supermarkt 5 min mit dem Auto, der mobile Bäcker kommt jeden Morgen in die Strasse. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche drinnen und Außenküche mit Gasherd und Kohlegrill. Also alles da, was 4 Personen brauchen. Der Manager gibt sehr brauchbare Tipps für die Umgebung und ist auch sonst sehr hilfsbereit, Check in und Check out sehr gut, wir haben‘s genossen."

"Most idyllic place high in the hills above Cefalu with wonderful views Very quiet with lovely space to relax and gardens But the road to the property is not all in good condition with some potholes and unsurfaced sections Also extremely steep in sections which eventually resulted in us moving to a more accessible location. A real shame as we wanted to stay for the whole period but damaged our hire cars on reaching the house"

Great hotel

"Charming old school euro hotel. Service was outstanding. Staff courteous and friendly. We loved the location and hotel that we booked in an extra night. Cefalu is a great place to visit in Sicily. We stayed 6 days. Never got tired of walking to every meal and just enjoying the atmosphere. Hike to the Castle and Greek temple by just walking from the hotel. A truly great experience. Hotel location is across the street from the beach with its Poseidon Bar. Even in November sunny and warm. Just relax on the perfect sand."

"This hotel was set right on the water with a private beach, kayaks, and paddle boat. Our room was very large, and all the rooms have their own balcony. The hotel is very quiet because nobody is above or below you in another room. It's so easy to drive into Cefalu and park, and the hotel has its own parking lot. The breakfast was fine, rather basic, but overall, we loved the setting right on the ocean and would happily stay again. "
