The villa has great outdoor space including seating, sunbeds, barbecue and a private pool (well kept by Salvatore) - short walk to beaches for swimming and snorkelling (we preferred the public beach 5 mins walk away but there is a private beach too for just a few villas). Out of Cefalù so not so busy and only a short drive to bakery, supermarket and restaurant. Not easy to walk to nearby restaurant as roads are busy with no path but can walk along the beach. The...

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Alvise’s country cottage! He was incredibly friendly and helpful as a host. The location has a beautiful view and lots of privacy, which was more than worth the price. We were able to get some much needed rest and visit the surrounding sites, such as Cefalù, with ease. We would definitely return given the chance."

"This was a really fabulous week in Caltavuturo. Susanne has a created a welcoming and beautifully styled home and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. There are many hidden places around the property to relax, whether it’s by the pool, on the terrace on the long outdoor sofa or upstairs on the terrace outside the main apartment. The kitchen is really well stocked with appliances. There are two fridges so plenty of storage space. The Weber grill was perfectly clean and easy to use....

"Amazing spot just outside the bustle of Cefalú. Very picturesque and very kind host. Be aware the kitchen is up 2 flights of stairs ( if you are traveling with an elder, as I was). We were also told upon arrival that we only rented 2 of the 4 bedrooms in the listing, which was confusing. We only needed 2 so it was ok, but there was no discount in price. We unfortunately left a day early due to all the stairs. Other than that a very sweet spot I would highly recommend."

"The house: 5* Attractive house, three exceptionally clean bathrooms and good, hot, strong showers. Well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave coffee machine, freezer). All the bedrooms had working aircon. Outdoor space with a huge dining table, in addition to lounge chairs and table tennis table (all equipment provided). Salvatore and his parents prepare the property beautifully - welcome pack of food and water, wine in fridge. Anti-mosquito plug-ins provided throughout house....

This beautiful property had everything we needed; gorgeous views, multiple eating areas, lovely pool, fruit trees, lovely bedrooms, table tennis area, BBQ and even a pizza oven. Plus Amica, the gorgeous and adorable owners dog. The photographs do not do it justice! "Our host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the local region and keeping the attractive outside area clean. The patio and pool area looks across a mountain view, changing in the light from dawn to dusk. The apartment provided everything we needed including indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Castelbuono is well served for bars, restaurants and points of interest. It sits in the Madonie nature reserve so is good for walking and wildlife ."
