"This was a fully automated check in with a machine booth on the property frontage you checked into with photo ID ( we used passports) to obtain door codes. Worked well. Little niggle - We elected to spend more and have a canal view room. Should have been wonderful but the canal was being extensively renovated over several years and was a building site! Will be wonderful when completed. "

"Great property and superb location. Easy walk to Georgetown main st and Dupont circle. Staff were helpful and plenty of snacks and drinks available for free. The only issue we found was space for clothes and iron/steamer in room would be nice. Overall, great stay and would highly recommend. "

"Very helpful and accommodating staff, from guiding us to our room to dealing with our clunky U-Haul without batting an eye to giving us late checkout without a hitch and then extending our stay an extra day because we didn’t want to leave the crackling lobby fire and cozy vibe. "

"Some of the issues with my stay are temporary due to construction, like clarity on taxi drop-off/pickup points. They need better signage inside as well as outside the hotel. The dining situation was rough, though, with diminished options due to spring break on campus. If you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), you may find yourself in a real desert here. The faculty club dining is expensive and limited. The alternative of ordering delivery by GrubHub is difficult right...
