Beautifully appointed and decorated, the rooms were extremely comfortable and I appreciated all the little touches like the L’Occitan toiletries and the coffee maker. I had mentioned that this was a birthday trip for me, and they not only accommodated my request for a room with a view over the canal, but also had a little treat waiting for me. We enjoyed an evening drink in the bar, and the helpful front desk staff arranged a lovely massage in the spa area. For some reason, I didn’t book breakfast with my room rate, which was a mistake. We stopped down one morning and it was delicious. "
