"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"8 of us stayed 18-79 years plenty of bathrooms and toilets which is always a bonus - we spent most of our time in the kitchen round the table even managed to have the bi fold doors open occasionally - really handy for walking into Kirkby Lonsdale too "

And Mint Cake Mews is perfectly placed… a 2 minute walk into Kendal and a 5 minute drive to the main arterial routes to Windermere, Keswick, etc. The property has been tastefully modernised throughout, the accommodation was comfortable, and easy to keep clean for dog owners. "We loved our stay at The Old Post Office. Ideal for our family get-together. The beds are really comfortable, lots of spaces to hang out in the house, the area is magic- roll out of the front door and you are by the river or can go on glorious riverside walks from the front door. The Aga was lovely and warm and the property was well equipped, we had everything we needed. For us the photos didn't do it justice, The Old Post Office was comfortable, characterful and very spacious."

"We really loved this place. There are not many places that I think the experience of the property is better than the photos but I really think that this is the case in this lovely place. We loved the spacious bedrooms and the underfloor heating in the kitchen was great, as was the fireplace in the lounge. It is always good to have a hot tub but this is a really nice size.
