Lovely small boutique hotel. Nice rooms and excellent restaurant. Very pleasant and accommodating staff - felt very personal. Great access to Gatineau park trails.

This hotel has a lot of potential.
Located high up in a picturesque area, the Hotel offers great views of Gatineau, visible from a walkway that surrounds the property. There are pleasant hikes minutes away from the property, including one leading to the Wilson ruins, which was a highlight of our stay. The hotel was stunning from the outside. The night-time lighting is also impressive. The decor was a mixed experience. The layout was interesting, but the artwork on display detracted from what could have been an upscale yet cozy chalet-style feeling. The room was small, and featured very small windows, which made us feel boxed-in. There was a shower, but no bathtub. There was a constant low-pitched “hum” in the room, which we found slightly unnerving. The restaurant had two set menus, of which we chose the “omnivore”. The presentation was lovely, and the dishes were delicious. The service was one of the worst we have had in many years of travelling. The waitress’ descriptions of each dish was hesitant and lacking, which diminished the experience. Instead of eliciting a pleasant anticipation of the dish, it made us wish she would stop talking and let us enjoy the meal. It also took her until nearly the end of the dinner to realize that our glasses had been empty since the beginning of the meal. The experience, although good overall, was not enough to justify the price of an overnight stay. We do recommend the restaurant, which offered good value for a very good meal.

Get transported to an other era and take advantage of Gatineau park. It was beautiful. The mansion is on top of a hill and we had a beautiful view of the park and sunrise. We had dinner which was also very nice and the wine pairing was good but I had a hard time keeping up 😁
