"Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have...

"Spacious property, with peaceful surroundings. The house had everything we needed. Excellently equipped kitchen. Very comfortable. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Two minutes walk into the village, which has all you could need. Recommend No1 Fleet Street, aka The Ship as well as Galloway Lodge for quality and value for money. This was not our experience at the visitor centre. The Spar is very well stocked. Beautiful coastline, also recommend Caerlaverock Castle and the lighthouse...
