"Nice little place at a good price as we were going to The Open at Troon. No services in the village but next village has a great food pub and hotel that does decent pub Faye. when we visited the hotel bar and restaurant was closed for refurb but they did do a good breakfast"

No staff and locked main door, had to call the hotel company to get them to send someone to open the door to check in. Dirty plate on reception counter. Car park in dilapidated area with dangerous looking roofing and walls. Overall bad stay for the price, similar priced places just up the street with way more going for them, just a shame they were booked up..."

"Lovely clean caravan on a quiet very well kept site. Lots to see and do around the area, we had a fantastic 3 night stay. Lounge area spacious and double bed very comfy. Only thing I would say is that the twin beds are small my teenagers were too big to get comfy, would be OK for younger children."

The owners were great at getting in touch beforehand with very detailed instructions to find the place and for us to order our choice of cake! The lodge is clean and really well equipped with everything you might need. Whoever has decorated and furnished it has lovely taste - it is really pretty with a modern, chilled out feel. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus."
