"Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty...

"Had some issues with accessing the key from the lock, staff were extremely helpful with sorting this. Room was clean and tidy, basic amenities were also provided. No noise issues overnight. "

As well as that the restaurant serve very good food at reasonable prices, as it was our final night of our holiday in Scotland and we were travelling home it was very welcome. "Lively Georgian pub, excellent dining and nothing too much trouble for a friendly and helpful staff. Despite lively bar the bedroom was quiet if a little warm even with heating off. I am partially sighted and the lighting throughout was far too "subdued" - the only fault."
