"The Fort House is an amazing 17c building sympathetically renovated and centrally locatedwithin the fort . The staff were lovely and always attentive. For the first time during our trip we had traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts . Interesting, educational and tasty. The room was comfortable with a four poster bed and an ensuite bathroom. "This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. "The place on the whole was very nice, the room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was OK, but had signs of wear and tear eg chipped tiles. This didn't bother us, but some people may be put off by this. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with lots of choices. The kitchen is available to make your own drinks at no charge. All in all a nice place to stay."

"I loved this hotel so much. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and historic. The pool was amazing and the grounds were great. Above all of it was that the staff was so incredible. They were helpful and kind. I was traveling alone and the restaurant manager was completely helpful to me, giving me tips and also prepared a special seafood meal for me that was one of the best i have ever had. I will definitely come back here next time im in Sri Lanka! "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....
