"The Beacon is a very nice place to stay and the location is perfect. The only "issues not issues" we had was that the mattress was getting worn drooping in the middle and it was filled with extra bedding on the top to compensate for the dip in the center and unfortunately making the bed high centered and I fell out of the bed twice. "Atmosphere. Love the cozy cabin feel with the fire place. Good selection of wood as well. What I didn’t like was I found dirty Kleenex under the bed. Also there is carpet in the cabin which I felt was dirty. "

Everything from the resident squirrel, hummingbirds, kingfishers, gulls working on swallowing starfish (no easy feat), eagles, lots of different marine birds, seals, river otter, sea lions galore catching dinner right out front, porpoise and a small pod of orca, however, the house does need some TLC."
