"Our 2nd stop on this trip to Greece, was Almyrida at Villa Varvara. Outstanding clean private local and accessible. We found it to be a great base for exploring the west side of Crete. the local shops and eateries near the property were just what we wanted small local excellent fare. "Great house in quiet location, fantastic views, village has everything you need. Pools fabulous, housekeeper very responsive on any issues faced does a great job. Clean and tidy change of sheets every few days was perfect. Some kit older but functional. Would recommend."

"House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"We’ve just returned from two weeks in Crete, the second of which was spent at Villa Asteria. We’ve stayed in many places around the UK and Europe and this has been our favourite. It is a beautifully built villa in a stunning location with views of the White Mountains on one side and views down to Souda Bay and there are plenty of places at the property to sit and enjoy sunrise or sunset. " A lovely villa with excellent facilities. The downstairs living, dining & kitchen area is very spacious. Kitchen well equipped. The outside areas are vast , including a BBQ area, which we used several times and a pizza oven which we did not try. The swimming pool is lovely, possibly one of the nicest pools we have had. The pool and housekeeping was every few days which was ideal. Any issues were promptly responded to by George and usually sorted out by his wonderful father. Checking...
