"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

She gave us great suggestions for places to visit, including stargazing from Omalou Plateau. "Beautiful view every morning on the patio. Very clean and high quality inside. Kostas and Anna are super nice and very attentive. Please note this house is great but for one family only. Since this is a renovated older house, one bedroom is attached to another. This makes it a bit difficult for two families due to walking through one bedroom to get to the front room."

"The property was great for visiting with a car. Was able to access Chania easily for a family that did not want to stay in town. The house was modern and very clean. We did have a few challenges. The hot water worked for 1 day and then not at all the rest of the time. We had been traveling for a week and needed to do laundry and had little warm water to do wash.
