"This is student housing. We brought our own pillows from home, which I would recommend. The beds are small, but was fine for us because we were prepared for the size/situation based on other reviews. Bathroom is tiny. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay unless you pay extra. If you have accurate expectations you will enjoy your stay here- the staff was REALLY FRIENDLY and accommodating-- the actual room was as expected, because we were expecting a dorm room! :) "

"Wonderful location right off the Royal Mile. Our apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet, even though we were in a busy area and there was construction going on towards the back of the building. More than enough space for our family to stretch out and relax after long days of touring the city! Linens provided were ample and clean, bath products were available in the bathrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We would absolutely book again!"

"Big and spacious. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby. Walkable to train station and major places of interest. One major downside is the security. When we are out, there were 2 occurences of entry. One left the living room lights on and the other cleared our trash. Chatted online with destiny and they said no unauthorised entries in their records. If there is any form of housekeeping, please let the guests know so the guests feel safer."

"We had a terrific time in Edinburgh and choosing this place to stay helped in that immensely. The location to central Royal Mile doesn't get much better. The apartment had everything that you could think of. "Great apartment! Was only here for 1 night but had everything you need for a longer stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Very easy check in and checkout process. Only recommendation is to check the temperature before people check in as the flat was 24 degree when I arrived and it was already hot outside. "

"Staying here was such a wonderful surprise after many hotel rooms. The space alone is worth it - it's so spacious! The neighborhood is walkable and lovely with so many food and shopping options. Taking the Airlink from the hotel puts you right outside. It was so easy to check in and out. We loved it. "

"Apex Waterloo Hotel in Edinburgh was newly updated and renovated with onsite dining, bar, indoor pool, gym, sauna and spa. The rooms are comfortable with attractive bedding and bathroom amenities. Dining is very reasonable and the onsite bar is great. Breakfast for a reasonable fee is complete with custom cooked Scottish entrees as well as a buffet bar with fruit, pastries, coffees, and fruit juices. The hotel is in close walking distance to Old Town and New Town including a number of museums, and city parks. If you arrive at EDI airport you can purchase a multi day tram pass that allows cross town trips as well as returning to the airport. The hotel is a short walk to Waverley Train station. Nearby are day trip tours as well as car rental."

Perfect Beyond My Expectations

"I initially booked this hotel out of convenience. It was located near to both Haymarket Station and the Usher Hall. That was my main concern. I was totally amazed by the helpfulness, the friendliness, and the professionalism of the staff at the hotel. They were all outstanding! This was such a surprise to me as Id only expected a basic bed for the night. The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was SO comfy. They provide an early check in and a late check out facility, which was ideal for my arrangements. I couldnt fault one thing about this hotel. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable and stress-free. I am disabled and you have no idea how your simple acts of kindness helped me"
